Please can anyone help?
Windows Defender keeps finding TrojanDownloader:W97M/Drixed.B
On each occasion the file is quarantined - then within the hour another one pops up.
This is on a Windows 8.1 ASUS laptop.
Any ideas?

Upload it to virustotal for a second opinion...it may be a false positive......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple

Emsisoft, ESET and Trend are amongst the few a/v's identifying this as as malware.
Each offers free scanning software so I suggest downloading one or all of them and see if this clears it.
Links below:
Emsisoft Emergency Kit http://www.emsisoft.co.uk/en/software/eek/
ESET Online Scanner http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner-popup/

I've been running ESET for the past 2 hours and it's found 5 threats already, 43% completed so far!
edit
Eset found 18 threats and deleted them ...
Then Windows Defender then found another ...
Emisoft found 13 issues and deleted them ...0 -
and Windows Defender continues to report the same Trojan Downloader0

but were any of them this same threat? (bearing in mind, virustotal would give you the name that each av has given to the same threat, IYSWIM)......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

What's the full filename and location of the file being detected?
eg. C:\directory\folder\subfolder\filename.ext0
