Help tesco hudl2 vs kindle fire hd

Hi

Is there anyone that can help me decide between the two tablets. It is for my mam and she would like to read books (already has standard kindle) and possibly watch some TV. Is one any better than the other or are they much of a muchness?

I have researched online buts all a bit foreign to me!

Thanks :)

I find that my Hudl2 is a little too heavy & uncumbersome for reading, my original Kindle is excellent but lacking the backlit display that tablets give you.

I do most of my bedtime reading on an Acer B1.

I love my Hudl2 & it is all the tablet you will ever need, but if it will be used mostly for reading then you really want a Kindle with a backlit display.

Wouldn't it be nice if you could borrow one of each for a week from somewhere like a library !

I trust 99% of online or MSM reviews about as much as I trust a politician to tell it like it is.

Well, if she already has a kindle (and I think they are great at doing what they are designed to do) then wouldn't it be best to get the Hudl. Your Mum can then read on the kindle when she wants to read, and watch TV on the Hudl when the TV calls.

I have a keyboard kindle and I love it as it is so easy on the eye. Tablets are more dual purpose, and may be heavier, so may be good for TV but not so good for reading. I'd go for the Hudl. If Mum finds reading on it ok too then she can give you the kindle!!!
It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.
