Are debts and defaults wiped off after 7 years?

Is it also true that if debts are wiped off from your file then you start to get offers to fill out for credit cards?

and if you still had defaults, debt agencies and poor rating then you tend to get an instant decline from any banks and credit card companies?

if I got a limit of £1,000 on my Capital One card does that mean any defaults and debts I had are wiped from my file?

    No, it doesn't.
Instead of guessing just check your credit files

Debts are never 'wiped' after 6 years they are statute barred, you still owe the money but you cannot be taken to court for it.

Its coming over that you seem to be in a hurry to get back into debt again.
