Civil enforcement

Please can someone help with my claim.
I parked in the coop at Whitby on 7/4/13 from 12:58 to 14:58 and paid £2.
I later received a PCN from civil enforcement stating the above parking time.
They have not fully explained why I received the PCN.
Apologies for my lack of brain power.
I have contacted both the coop and civil enforcement but no resolution.
Today I have received a county court claim.
Can someone help me with the defense please?
