hi not sure if I've put this in the correct section but had a letter from virgin mobile today saying that they are changing there billing date. basically you used to pay for what you had used so for October usage I pay in novemeber. todays letter stated that they are now going to make you pay in advance and so in December they want two months payments instead of the usual one are they allowed to do this I received letter today and this starts on 22.12.14 as they have also moved my direct debit date from the 19 to 22

Not had anything yet. We have four mobiles with them, my contract runs out in a week's time.
Thank you for the heads up.0 -
i think it depends on which package you are on.
we have four mobile accounts all on sim only deals, paid monthly by DD.
And the way I read the letter they are making the billing period match up closer to the allowance period.
for example OH allowance is from 7th - 6th, but his bill was something like 22nd, and his DD was about the 5th of the following month.
His allowance is still the same but his bill is no produced on the 8th, and his DD leaves our account on or about 22nd.
Think from memory he had two DD's taken in Nov.
Of our four account only two have been changed, well so far only two have been notified so far.0
