Had 4 vids on CS this morning.

Also #761321 describe animated gifs is back this morning. Only done a few so far, but without hitch. They are 8c on Neo with a potential 200 available.

Thanks Rachel. It's not letting me do anymore at the moment, but I'll keep an eye out now the gif-pool has boomed from 100 to 200.

Not sure I can face many more of them to be honest. I've become supremely lazy apropos tasking of late. Which is convenient, since there's nothing really doing.

Thought we hadn't seen you for a while :)

I'm on 59, but some were done in the last round. I'm just thinking of the extra cash...September is an expensive month for me :o

Stopped me on 96, so there should be plenty more mileage for you there. Ha, when isn't there an expensive month on Neo?

Edit: Oh, so far managed a grand total of FOUR AdPrizes in September too. Nothing has changed with my clicking behaviour. Would normally be averaging about 20 per month!

I just did one of the describe a gif tasks. For the first time it took ages to validate the description, and then for a couple it complained that they were too similar to descriptions already in the database.

It's a cat sliding down a banister, how many ways are there to describe it for goodness sake?!

I shan't do anymore though, second guessing what others may have written is not in the job description, nor is waiting 7 or 8 minutes while it decides yours are acceptable. (OK, I can do something else in the meantime, but I'd rather focus properly.)

You did better than me...I got disqualified the last time this task was available.
It said something about my grammar not being correct which was a load of garbage!

Oh well, you win some you lose some.

  • Hi

When I try to do a Crowdflower task on Clixsense I can't seem to log in? Keep getting stuck at the login screen, it says "A facebook account is required to use Crowdflower" so I lo gin with a facebook account, the page refreshes and takes me to the same screen.

Underneath it says "Email - Email for a crowdflower account" - which I have also put in, with the same result.

    Thanks

    p.s. i cant post a pic as im a new user :(

Same here, it takes far too long to do this task, and any ones I've had corrected don't even make proper sense, but that's typical CF.
  • Last night I completed a test task on Crowdflower. The task involved identifying errors in dummy tasks and setting out how one would explain the error to a task author. After I completed the task a new profile "Internal Channel" appeared.

Does anybody know what this means and if it is worth having. I can only find reference to this on a Crowdflower page advertising the benefit of Crowdflower to potential customers. In this context it says that "Internal Channel" people completing the tasks get "no reward". I have copied the information below for information, I have highlighted the payment reference blue.

Has anybody else had this and have they got any benefit from it?
Note: Be sure to change the “External Contributors” switch to “Off” at this time if you don’t want CrowdFlower's crowd to work on your job.

When using the Internal Contributors channel, all of your job settings, such as Judgments per Row, Rows per Page, and Geography, will be preserved, so make sure that your job is set appropriately for your internal team. The one exception here is payment: your Internal Contributors will not receive payment via the CrowdFlower platform.

They may receive payment with a different platform? Fingers crossed?

I saw that task too...not sure I see anything different on my screen though.

Busy working on those animated gif tasks....they seem to be flowing nicely right now, much better than they were this morning ;)

Edit...I see that channel now....still not much wiser though.

Thanks, I can't do any of the gif tasks. I got through 94 previously and ended up with a corrected accuracy of 93% (a b****y miracle!). In some ways I'm pleased because the corrections were driving me nuts!!

I now just get a "You have done the maximum...! message now.
    Glad it's working for you.
