Anybody been playing with Lollipop?

I got the offer of an OTA update to Android 5.0 Lollipop on my 2012 Nexus 7. As that was rooted with custom recovery I used the Wugfresh toolkit instead. The upgrade went smoothly but I seemed to be eating battery at a rate of knots. I realised that was because I'd got the default sync options again post upgrade. Once I'd stopped the Google account an Play store auto updating it now seems to be all OK.
I'd wondered if there would be a performance hit with the tablet being encrypted by default now but I can't say I've noticed any problem. One of my regular apps (Red Herring puzzle) didn't work at first but does now.
Flushed with success I decided to upgrade my Nexus 4 phone. That was an absolute nightmare as it got stuck in a bootloop. After several hours swearing and checking the prices of replacement phones I did eventually manage to get out of it. I've decided to stick with stock recovery as that may (or may not) be safer but I did root it again as I like to run Adfree among other things.

Not tried it yet, but i notice that there are some daily CM builds for my device out there now. The temptation to just onto those instead of waiting for the official build is beginning to get a bit much. They did promise that an official build would be out within 3 months of Lollipop being released so not all that long to wait though.
I do keep noticing that many of my apps are updating on a daily basis to give lollipop support.

My Nexus 10 and 2012 Nexus 7 went swimmingly, with a decent speed (or at least, slickness) bump, and no change to battery life. The update itself would have hit the battery, and any sofware updates, and maybe the OS also did some shuffling in the background but it should settle down.0

Still waiting for OTAs for both my Nexus 4 and 7, I'll probably accept the 7 first as it's less hassle to lose the use of a tablet for a while if things go wrong than losing the phone.0

Your tablet will not be encrypted by default. Only new devices launched with Lollipop are encrypted by default. All older Android devices are not.kwikbreaks wrote: »I'd wondered if there would be a performance hit with the tablet being encrypted by default now
The only devices encrypted by default so far are the Nexus 9 and Nexus 6.
I updated my Nexus 5 & Nexus 7 with no problems.0 -
Just waiting on the OTA update for my 2013 Nexus 7 and Nexus 4 if it is ever released.
I have the lollipop image for my Nexus7 2013 on my PC but would rather wait for the OTA than risk a manual upgrade.Laters

No OTA yet for my Nexus 4 or 2012 Nexus 7.
(I've downloaded the image for my N4 via NRT but haven't installed it ...... yet. I like how I have my N4 setup on Kitkat with Xposed installed so I'm not ready to change yet).0 -

My Nexus 7 received an OTA update to Lollipop
Everything went well, lots of differences I was quite looking forward to discovering.
I have two games on it, Candy Crush for the OH and Grepolis for me.
Candy Crush worked but Grepolis insisted it wasn't installed (even though the icon is there).
Attampts to re-install it threw a "505 Error"
It simply cannot be installed (This error is common as I found out from googling).
Then Candy Crush slowed to a crawl it took aboiut 5 seconds to react to my swipe and gradually got worse. Attempts to flick back to the homescreen took an age.
This happens after a fresh boot with all other unnecessary apps stopped.
I've spent this evening using Nexus Root Toolkit to restore it back to KitKat.
I shan't be updating to Lollipop again anytime soon and absolutely will not be putting it on my phone.
EDIT: To add a link to the toolkit if anyone else encounters the same problems and wants to revert back to KitKat
