What are people's views on fake grass.

I have no children, 1 dog and no veg or flowers. Just a lawn.

From what I can see 50mm of type 1 harccore, 25mm sharp sand compacted, should give a base for the 'grass'

When using a geo textile membrane on a typical French Drain, or a land drain, then the membrane should encase the stone around the drain. Otherwise there will be problems with silt and debris blocking the drain.

We had a thread somewhere about it. Apparently, it's awful to clean if the dog does defecate on it, and eventually fine debris does build up, which is also hard to remove.

Not wanting any, I can't remember any more.
