Excluding 'registered in China' sellers - possible?

I am trying to buy some lights, the item says it is coming from the UK but when you click on the feedback the seller is registered in China, the business details are also a Chinese seller.
Is there anyway to exclude these sellers?

UK only still brings up some Far East sellers, goodness knows why, but then that is ebay for you!
Last night I was trying to buy a double oven glove to be delivered elsewhere- I thought it cheaper to buy on ebay and get it sent direct rather than buy it myself on the high Street and post it. I needed it quite quickly so tried to limit myself to business sellers in the Uk with free postage - cheapest first. I had to give up as half the cheapest ones were being shipped from abroad, then the first 2-300 were all variable BINS that showed 99p but when you checked it was for a hook to hang the oven gloves from, or a pot holder. I couldn't actually find a seller in the UK with a reasonably priced old fashioned double oven glove - I hate variable BINS that show me hundreds of items I don't want.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Same here with variants, looking for curtains I got the tie backs. Urgh, fast losing the will with eBay, no wonder the buyers are leaving in drives. I find it completely frustrating to buy anything on there.
I am after some lights, I am choosing UK only but still most of them have a business address in China, despite it saying they are coming from the UK. Reason being, if I am buying from the UK I *assume* I have some comeback if something goes wrong and returns go back to the UK and not be sent to China.
I selected 6m lights and have bought in 7000 listings, chosen 'UK only' and I am down to 1100 - which is shocking quite frankly.0 -
Mrs_sparrow, my latest conspiracy theory / worry is that Chinese sellers are being given preference over UK listings.
I sell a line of goods which are also being sold by Far East sellers. I currently have 100% feedback and 5* across the board and am showing TRS premium listings. Doing a Best Match search my items are hardly visible, I've checked so many pages for my items I've actually given up as I can't find them. The first 5 pages or so are all Far East sellers, some with feedback as low as 97% . Ok. People might say it is because the Far East sellers are cheaper, the worrying thing is that this evening doing the search as a guest, some of the Far East sellers are dearer than me.
Even odder is that again searching as a guest and opting for UK only, I am still well behind those Far East sellers in Best Match.
The very very odd thing is though that others can obviously see my items as I do sell them, but goodness knows how they find them.. I have started to experiment with my titles now, and have actually virtually copied the title of one Far East seller with strong sales, just leaving out the extras they tend to use that are inaccurate .
That's tonight rant over, normal service will now be resumed.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Some sellers do seem to use address' in the UK to drop ship or to forward on items.
If the issue is wait time only thing is to look at their feedback and see if any clues are there.0 -
Thanks for that, I eventually got one from Amazon using Prime yesterday (and having it sent direct) for less than a fiver, it is just a silly gift for someone as a bit of a joke.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. It was wait time as this is just a silly gift, it wouldn't have been as amusing if the person I was sending it to waited 5 weeks for it. Realistically I needed it there this coming week.
Got completely fed up though of hundreds of auctions for double oven gloves where the cheaper item was just a pot holder to get Best match exposure masking a very expensive oven glove !I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
