Rejected by Clydesdale

I was rejected for the 19 month 0% purchases card offering.
Never missed any payments and have 100k equity in the house. Too many current accounts perhaps? including one application going through atm.

theoretically possible but never heard of it being a rating factor unless they all have overdraft facilities

Savings/ equity doesnt count for anything in credit card or unsecured loan applications with the possible exception of applying with the bank that holds the savings

Could be too much available credit or high utilisation etc? Have you checked your credit files?

Might just be you're not Clydesdale's type... Plenty more fish in the sea.

Are you eligble for a Clydesdale card if you already have a Yorkshire card?

I think Clydesdale are quite conservative. I applied for one and got £3500...the smallest I've had for years. A few days later I applied for MBNa and got £11500.

I'd agree: application was successful but was only given a £1,100 credit limit, whereas other providers have generally given a £5,000-£7,000 limit.
