Under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 traders must sell goods that are as described and of satisfactory quality.
If consumers discover that products do not meet these requirements they can reject them and ask for their money back providing they do so quickly. Alternatively, they can request a repair or replacement or claim compensation.

I think you should ask for your cash back.

It did not say they were suitable for outdoor use, if they did the OP would have had a case.

No they might NOT have been mis-described, but they didn't state whether these were indoor or outdoor shoes. The lable was on the inside, it should have been on the shelf or the outside the box. Not fit for purpose or trade discription act. I wouldn't let it lie and hope OP don't.
