Honesty always pays with insurers or they will try to wriggle out of a claim in my humble experience. Still, I would check out as many insurance price comparison sites as possible, look at the usual suspects but also niche comparison sites such as
Do shop around and check the small print when you compare the policies you have shortlisted to get the best deal and best cover.
All the best.

Most insurance companies will rate flooding as a risk and hence in relation to this your premiums may rise as it would if subsidence was mentioned in most cases. In relation to the staying silent most companies will work on what is called utmost good faith. So if you are found to have breached this utmost good faith if may be used against you.CUE does have previous claims information. In relation to the flooding area as previously mentioned some companies do use the environment agency information which I believe if inaccurate you are able to challenge. Insurance companies now have to ask questions about flooding and other things about the property under the consumer insurance act(CIA for short).if you have had flooding it may be best to see a specialist.:j0
