Damaged to dishwasher - 2 Months old

Hi,
Looking for some advice please.
I have an AEG dishwasher and its 2 months old. We have a 2yr warranty with it for parts and labour.
We have used this dishwasher around 3/4 times a week so its been used a maximum of 30 times in all.
Now there is 2 cracks on either side on the power button which is located inside the dishwasher so prevent it getting turned off by children etc. So nothing can just drop on it as this is always locked away apart from opening it and then located vertically away from you.
I did ring AEG and they said not covered as accidental damage, i bought it from Ao.com. My contract is with Ao.com do i go to them and see what they say?
Try and upload a photo to give you a better understanding of the problem.
Many thanks

No need to upload pics, as you say your contract is with AO, contact them for repair or return.0

Do those cracks actually affect the operation of the dishwaher??"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0
-
No, but they could get worse as its both sides of the power button. And already hairline to the front of it. Plus i paid £400 for it so should not be like this after 8 weeks IMO. I'll ring AO.com to see what they have to say.0

Not sure if we're perhaps missing part of the story. Have AEG said it is accidental damage without seeing or inspecting it?
Try AO, or if you paid by credit card and it was over £100, contact your card company. As its within 6 months from purchase, it is up to them to prove it has been caused by misuse rather than a fault. Once 6 months passes the burden switches so it is then up to the consumer to prove it is faulty rather than misuse/wear n tear. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
I did ring AEG and they said not covered as accidental damage...
Cosmetic damage may not be covered by the manufacturer's guarantee, but The Sale of Goods Act as described by Unholyangel should cover it.0 -
Yes they said that i explained the issue and they said as they are not parts not covered by the parts and labour warranty.
They then tried selling me an accidental package for so much a month for 20 months. Told them get back to them.0
