For the life of me I cannot get my Sony KDL-32U3000 hd tv to detect signals from my DVD surround system and my Humax 2000T.
When I select a HD channel from the Humax I get the message "the programme cannot be viewed via HDMI connection because your tv does not support digital content protection(HDCP). Disconnect the HDMI cable and connect the Scart or composite video connector to watch the programme in standard resolution.
I go into the tv menu and select " device list update" and it alys says "no devices detected" the only way I can get a picture is to resort to the SCART connection. i am at a loss

I thought you had decided the Humax is faulty anyway.0

Unplug the SCART lead completely and then try again. Make sure that you are using the correct input selection.0

I have been to teh Humax forums and decided that updating software may have caused freeze and reset machine which seems to have cured it.
Ok, i have tried to do a factory reset for the tv after following instructions and it didnt work. I coulnt get it to bring any option to reset by following the instructions using remote.0 -

I managed to do a factory reset and it still will not detect a HDMI input from my DVD and Humax.
The TV is HD. Has 2 x HDMI inputs. It has a resolution up to 1080i
The Humax has an HDMI output and outputs 1080i so what the heck will it not work ? :wall:0 -
Sony PlayStation has a similar issue
The problem was if you used the scart output once it turned off the hdmi output, so you if you then wanted to use the hdmi output you had to reset the ps.
Maybe this could be the issue with the humax and the DVD player and not the tv?"talk sense to a fool and he calls you foolish" - Euripides0 -
I followed these instructions for my model and found that “Label Video Inputs” option was not showing in my menu.

As HDMI is not showing in the input list menu (TV,AV1,AV2 etc etc) it looks like they need enabling but obviously I can't because the option isn't in the menu.0 -
Did you follow the advice in post #2?
It's not clear whether you even saw that post.0
