How to post a dog guard..?

Having a clear out and found a dog guard from a Peugeot people carrier.

Might stick it on eBay, but wondering if I should offer postage and if so, how.

It's bloody huge. So will be very awkward to post.

Was avid watcher of Blue Peter, so I can quite happily make a box, but its just the shape.

Often use couriers for heavy/bulky items.

Just wondering if I could just celotape the address lable to it as it is?

Most couriers do require items to be boxed, but even if they don't would you be happy to have it thrown around in a warehouse as it is?

Or a quarter hundred weight of other parcels thrown on top of it.

LOL I just glanced at this and read it as 'how to post a guard dog', I had visions of someone trying to stuff an Alsatian into a cardboard box.

After you with that task sunshine!
