1st Direct gold card.. account switch

in Credit cards
Hi All,
Wondering if I have made an error whilst trying to take advantage of bank account switching.
Have switched to a Halifax account, which involves switching everything then closing 1st direct account.
However I also have a 1st direct gold card on a 0% deal. The terms seem to imply that you must be a 1st account holder at time of applying.
Does this mean I need to keep the account to maintain the credit card and its deal or will I be able to keep the card in isolation?
Little concerned as if I lose the 0% deal I'll end up paying more than I save from the switch!
Thanks,
Bema

It's unlikely they will 'imply' anything - there would have to be a clear requirement to maintain the First Direct account, if not then you have nothing to worry about. However I also have a 1st direct gold card on a 0% deal. Thanks for the reply.
Have also confirmed by phoning 1st Direct.
Card can stay open on its own, 0% deal unaffected.
Its only required to have a 1st account on application for card and deal.0
