150k to park short-medium term, where's best?

Hi all

Touch wood, in a few weeks I'll have c.£150k proceeds from primary home sale. I'm not buying anywhere else immediately but I'd like to retain instant access on that money in case anywhere suitable comes up. So who knows how long I'll be parking it somewhere, it could be 3 months or 3 years. Between jobs at the moment but do have BTL income of approx £1k per month gross, maybe £400 net. I'll be needing a new current account, and I'm looking for the best return on the lump sum whilst retaining flexibility. I'm not holding out much hope for a decent return!
