  • Finally had a look at a website called Grocery Run my sil told me about and ended up ordering about $100 worth,, its bulk buying ie I got 12 tubes of toothpaste for $19.95 which works out $1.66 ea which is a bit less than half price :) plus nappies, deodorant, dried fruit and seeds and a lot of GF products for my hubby.
Its a big chunk out of this weeks budget but worth it for the savings, I'll just have to get creative this week ;)
Love people use things. The opposite never works.

    Hi everybody,

Had a bit of a spend today, a jug of milk from the supermarket and a brand new tea towel and a couple of teaspoons from the charity shop. I like to have a rummage in the cutlery boxes to see if I can find decent quality teaspoons as I'd rather buy these than the cheapo ones you can get from the value range in the supermarkets.

    Spends today = $7.49

    Total spends so far $20.31/$300.00

Need to declare extra spends for yesterday, another £8 added to the online shop as I forgot a couple of things and £5 for DH's lunch.

Today I asked him to make himself a cheese sandwich.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

Today I am heading to Aldi with a small list. Need stuff for D'S lunchboxes for rest of week & dinner tonight for the 3 of us. Plus loo roll. I aim to keep to my daily spend level of £6.39 but as I didn't spend yesterday I am not too worried about going over.

Nice to 'see' you again Florenceem - was hoping that everything was ok with you.

No spends since last update and although we were going to get a few things today have decided not to. Therefore tonight's meal has changed from fish - which we would have had to buy - to bacon, cheese and tomatoes which are all in. :money:
May spend an hour or two wrapping some presents this afternoon although a mug of hot chocolate, the fire and the sofa may put me off that idea later. :rotfl:

I have been awol from mse for 4 months. I am still being thrifty/frugal - downright tight in my spending. My pension 4 weeks- Dec GC started on 1st - managed 5 NSD and only spent £9.90 so far.
Mr F was given some bits by a client who was moving house - 2 whole rabbits, 2 HM game pies and 2 jars of bottled strawberries. We never say no!

Great to see you back have missed your pics.

Had to add veg to the online shop as I realise that I won't be well enough to traipse to the market with my trolley for a few days. Grinding my teeth because even Mr T basics veg are so much more expensive than the market! There with a tenner I fill a large trolley and buy enough stuff to last me for a couple of weeks! £11 online veg will just do me a few days.

Also annoyed that the way I am going I am not getting any NSD.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).
