Santander - unarranged overdraft

I've recently switch my bill account from Santander current account to a 123 account. I had a £1000 overdraft on my current account which I paid off, cancelled all direct debits and cancelled the overdraft leaving a zero balance.
I have just checked and Santander have taken £26 for arranged overdraft fees for last month which has taken the account into an unarranged overdraft situation. It has been like this for 2 days.
I have just been on the phone to them and explained the situation and the advisor was most unhelpful. There is to be a £12 fee added which I can live with but my main concern is how will this show on my credit report?
I've been working hard to improve my credit report these last few years with the intention to apply for a mortgage at some point. The last blemish on my report was back in 2010. So frustrating.

They could place a '1' on your credit file, denoting you were over your overdraft limit. However, whilst HSBC are renowned for doing so, I can't remember anyone else posting about this for other banks, including Santander.
So you might be lucky...but best to check your credit files in 2-3 months (give it chance to filter through) to be sure.0 -
If you've previously been in overdraft. Then the overall impact is going to be minor.0

Yes I've been within the agreed limits without fail since 2010, when I went over twice.:beer:0
