can anyone tell me what credit cards you can use to collect Avios points but preferably with any annual costs involved...

Directly you have the Avios card from TSB/ Lloyds or the BA card from AmEx. All have two tiers depending on if you are willing to pay a fee for higher rate/ lower targets for bonuses etc

Indirectly you've the likes of AmEx chargecards or Tesco Clubcard credit card that allow you to collect points that can be converted to Avios points
