Should I moan Re Indulgez comp? If so to whom?!

OK I've been doing the indulgez comp, where you pick one of 3 gifts daily. Yesterday I won a voucher for:
"all you can eat, tea & coffee, fresh orange and apple juice for just £38.00 per person/ £12.50 for children under 12 years old. Available every Sunday from 11.00AM until 4.00PM. subject to availability, subject to change. Includes VAT, excludes service."
At Buddah Bar London -
The thing is that's exactly the same as you could get walking in off the street without a voucher, and to me that feels dishonest of them. I e-mailed saying as much and asking if there was something I am missing but haven't had a reply (it was about 36 hours ago, should I give them longer?)
I thought I'd get some other opinions, should I just shrug it off? I mean I haven't lost anything, it just bugged me! If I do want to complain is there some official body who handles this kind of thing? I assume it would come under promoting something as a deal or special offer when it isn't, which I know is against trading standards.

Something like that box thing has been around for years in one form or another.
The competition which has now ended was for a spa day, you are receiving (and have signed up to) marketing e-mails.
This is how it is promoted to businessYou don't want to resort to tactics that degrade your brand or lose you money through commissions.
Indulgez elegantly solves this by distributing your offers as exclusive gifts. For free0 -
They have now replied, didn't really expect that! Basically saying that they try to make sure that their deals are exclusive, but on this occasion that isn't the case.
It is an on-going competition though, with a "higher value item" each week.
Still think it's a bit of a cheek, but you guys are right, not worth making a fuss over![FONT="]

I've found the same with most, if not all, of the discounts that I've won from them. Essentially then it would seem that you just win an advert for their special offers! Oh well.0

If you have time to write an email to complain about that, you've got spare comping time you're not using very effectively...

Ha ha fair point JessicAhh - I'll get back to just doing that!
Yeah Skilos, I don't expect all the vouchers/offers from these things to be amazing - but I expect them to be better than just the normal price, presented in a way that makes it seem like an offer! ha ha[FONT="]

I'd be interested to know if anyone actually wins the 'big' prizes they talk about...0

I wonder that about all comps MillyVanilli - I'm sure some are fake and no-one ever wins, but no idea what sort of percentage it might be! I bet it's been discussed a bunch of times already![FONT="]

I'm sure it has, and it definitely happens - I'm always suspicious with some 'instant win' type comps where there's only one prize...0
