Boots Shares

My wife was awarded Boots shares when she worked there 15 years ago. She has original certificates but she has not received any correspondence in a long time. She has rang several numbers but keeps going around in circles. She wants to check if she still has them and if she can cash them in. Can anyone help?
Thanks
Thanks

If she has the certificates then she must be a shareholder. You need to contact the company registrar and find out why you have received nothing. She should have been receiving dividends; are they still being paid straight into her bank account? Sometimes company information stops coming in the post because they opt you into 'paperless' by default. But you should always continue to receive the dividends. The company registrars is the body to contact for all these issues; their details should be readily available from the Boots website under Investor Relations. Good luck.0

Boots became Alliance Boots and were taken private in 2007.
I assume the shares certs have an address that did not apply to her at that time,as there was plenty of correspondence and cheques were received.I cannot remember if it was necessary to send back the old certificates or if they were simply cancelled
If she did not receive anything then she is due money for uncashed dividends and for the value of the shares at the time the company was bought out.She willl most likely have to pay an admin fee for this
A quick google shows there is an email address for previous shareholders on their website

Cheques were sent out early July 2007. The old certificates did not need returning - I still have mine, they may be worth something in 200 years time
The above link has links to "ownership of the company" & "Alliance Boots plc take private archive" which show all the docs referring to the merger with Alliance Unichem and the subsequent sale.0
