Energy Club Cashback
I switched to EDF Energy 1 yr. fixed to Mar 2016 (Blue Plus Price Promise) 1 month ago and they have advised me (part of the contract) that there are now cheaper deals available with other companies. There are no penalties for early exit, but I have just received £30 cashback from the Energy Club. Is this repayable if I switch again ? This constant switching is a real nuisance as well.

I don't believe that the cashback is repayable, but you won't get a second lot of cshback if switching within a year.
As to whether it is worth the hassle, it depends how much you'll save by switching as to whether it is worth it for you or not.0 -

The terms and conditions of the Cheap Energy Club indeed say that cashback isn't payable within a year if making a subsequent switch through the Cheap Energy Club, but when asked to clarify how this year was calculated MSE Dan L said in this postJust to confirm that all switches through CEC will receive cashback, irrespective of your last switch date.I came, I saw, I melted0 -
Hello - just to let you know that Snowman's quotes are correct. The cashback T&Cs no longer refer to rules around 12 months. (http://www.moneysupermarket.com/gas-and-electricity/cashback-terms-conditions/)0

Once in any 12 month period. The cashback will be paid for the first change of gas and/or electricity supplier in any given 12 month period.0 -

Cashback you have already received will not be repayable.
But if you plan on switching again, have you considered the alternative cashback possibilities mentioned here?
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/utilities/you-switch-gas-electricity
e.g. a possible £40 from Simply Switch
a possible £34 from Energyhelpline
Check out also the dedicated cashback sites such as quidco & topcashback.
Not only are the above amounts stated obviously greater than what you might ever get from the CEC, but whilst there seems ambiguity on whether or not you will get cashback again within 12 months from the CEC (MSE says yes, MSM, who process the application and would pay any possible cashback still appear to say no), why take such a risk?0 -
