I would absolutely have thought that this is their problem and they need to get on with it so they can get paid!

To be fair, due to location of conservatory and adjoining buildings it wouldn't be that simple, they might be right that they'd need some proper scaffolding. But they would have known that all along!
I'm quite relaxed about it really - like I say, at the moment I've got £2.5k of new boiler for free!0
