Pick your own fruit near Carmarthenshire?
Options
Yipee... school holidays :j
with the 6 weeks stretching before me am making a "to do" list and something we thought of doing was a pick your own day out.
I'm embarrased to say I've never done this before
and am usually a supermarket shopper so don't actually know what's in season right now
So.......
do any of you wonderful locals know of any pick your own farms in or near to Carmarthenshire?
Thanks so much :T

Best place to go is Beynons farm in Nicholaston, on the Gower. We've been going there for years. Excellent facilities there as well. Good if you have children with you.
I don't know what they'll have left now. I know last week they were still advertising raspberries, blackcurrants and redcurrants. And some veg.I wish you......

I can't remember which one we went to, if it was the same one as you Sar - is Beynon's at the top of Oxwich? Anyway, it's the Oxwich one we went to the year before last - bit of everything there really.
JxxAnd it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end0 -
Yes it is Jane.
Strawberries, Raspberries, blackcurrants, redcurrants, gooseberries, broad beans, loads of other veg grown by them and sold in the farm shop.
They have camping facilities, showers, etc.
Also there's a pick your own farm at Scurlage on the Gower.
went there a few years ago and they were quite good as well. But more choice at Beynons.I wish you......

Yup, they've got a wide variety of stuff there haven't they. Scurlage is a bit far for my liking, it never fails to amaze me how I keep forgetting how long it takes to get to Rhossili which is just past Scurlage. And is it me, or does Scurlage sound like a medieval disease or something?
"Ohhh arrrr, hez gorra baaaaad case of Scurlage". *fetches coat*
