Hey
i dont understand your question, do you have a website? why do you want google.com to go to your site ?
as far as i know its not possable as the domain is pointing to googles servers and not yours.0 -
Edit your hosts file (google) - not sure it would be wise to post full details here as it could be used maliciously
It will only work on the machines you make the edit on0 -
no it aint malicious.. what ive done is made this google page:
http://danclose.co.uk/Documents/igoogledc.html
and insted of typing http://danclose.co.uk/Documents/igoogledc.html i want it so when im on my laptop only it will go to http://danclose.co.uk/Documents/igoogledc.html when i type google.co.uk0 -
Unfortunately editing the hosts file won't work because (a) your web server doesn't have a dedicated IP address and (b) you will need to be able to see https://www.google.co.uk in order to get any search results back from google.
It might be possible using Firefox and greasemonkey... but not easy!0 -
try looking at this:

might be helpfull, not sure :P0 -

If you are using IE6 then there's a quite easy way (I can't remember off the top of my head but I could find out.)
But for IE7 they've changed things0 -

please do find owt!
Found it - But looking at it I don't know if it's much use to you though
Didn't know quite what to google but "ie shortcut trick" worked
A while back there was a lot of fuss about this -
Here's the story and how it's done.
Basically you could get IE6 to launch a prog when the url of your choice was entered.
So you could try -- Right click on the Desktop and create a new Shortcut
- Point the shortcut to "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" http://danclose.co.uk/Documents/igoogledc.html
- Call the shortcut www.google.co.uk
- Start Internet Explorer and type "www.google.co.uk" into the address bar
Also it doesn't work if you prefix it with http://0 -
wouldn't it just be easier to set your page as your home page? It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0
