A new system from scan.co.uk

I'm thinking of purchasing a new computer system using some bitcoins I have. I'm fed up with my 10 yr old + current system. I know that http://www.scan.co.uk/ accept bitcoins as payment. The only problem is, I'm not too sure of what system I should go for....me being a non-proffessional user. I just need a system which will be useful for web surfing and possibly looking at some youtube videos and the like. The scan systems above state w/o O/S so I guess they don't have operating systems? Why should that be? I would prefer to buy one with an O/S. Thank you.

  • scan will install a operating system for about £75 , this is how they can show that they are cheaper than other companies
  • Can say this i recently did a purchase for my brother for a customised system if you want A1 support and customer service and after sales use Scan.

I would personally recommend speaking to them on the phone, as they are very knowledgeable, even being an IT tech myself they recommended where i can save some money too. They will also stress test the system and make sure the system you end up with comes with no bloatware. They will also put anything you want on also, if you require a specific raid config or user account setups.

From experience compared to ordering systems from bigger companies like Dell and HP, will be ordering it again. I use Scan for all my consumables highly recommended. Let them do it all for you.

Can also say they way they spec the case and cable tidy everything is so slick too.
    Kind Regards,

How much do you want to spend?

I don't think Scan is particular cheap when custom built. However, I can't comment on customer services...

The reason I chose Scan is because I have a couple of Bitcoins which I would like to use. I was thinking of something in the £250 - £400 for my fairly basic needs.
