The website Secret is open to be used by all Twitter users, but the prize draw is only open to all UK Clubcard holders and registered Twitter users aged 18 or over, except for anyone directly connected with the planning or administration of the prize draw.
2. An Internet connection and Twitter account is needed to take part in Secret Scanta.
3. Using the Secret Scanta website, users will have to log onto their Twitter and give the Secret Scanta site permission to use their Twitter account. The user will then enter the Twitter handle of their friend into Secret-Scanta, before being directed to a results page with a present recommendation based on their friend's Twitter profile.
4. Results will not be available if the user's friend has a private Twitter profile.

6. Participants who take part in Secret Scanta will be automatically entered into a prize Draw.
7. There will be 16 winners in total between 20th November – 11th December, with 15 winners winning 5000 Clubcard Points and 1 winner winning a Samsung Galaxy S5 phone worth £499.00.
8. Prize draws will be made weekly on 27th November, 4th December and 11th December.
5000 Clubcard points x 5 (20th – 27th November)
5000 Clubcard points x 5 (28th November – 4th December)
5000 Clubcard points x 5 (5th – 11th December)
Samsung Galaxy S5 phone (20th November - 11th December)
9.Winners will be chosen through a random draw by an independent judge.
10. Winners will not be able to return the prize items online or in store at Tesco store for refund or exchange.
11. No third party or bulk entries. If it becomes apparent that either a participant or household is using any means to circumvent this condition such as, and without limitation, multiple twitter accounts, multiple reproduced or computer generated entries, fraudulently falsifying data, acting fraudulently or dishonestly in the opinion of the promoter or otherwise acting in violation of these terms, these participants will be disqualified and any prize entitlement will be void.
12. The winners will be contacted by @TescoClubcardUK by Twitter asking for the winner to follow @TescoClubcardUK and direct message them.
13.The winners must reply to the direct tweet with their details within 7 days. In the event that the winner cannot be contacted, or is not an eligible UK resident, he/she forfeits the prize. There will be no re-allocation of prizes.
14.The winner must follow @TescoClubcardUK in order to be contacted by Direct Message to accept their prize.
15. Once the promoter has received the winner's correct contact details, the prize will be delivered to the supplied delivery address within 30 days.
16. By entering, each user acknowledges and agrees that if they are a winner their name, county and Twitter user details may be announced by @TescoClubcardUK, used on the Tesco Clubcard website and any promotional material for Tesco. Winners agree to their details being made available in this way. Winners agree to their names and photographs being used for promotional purposes. Copyright in all material submitted as entries rests with the promoter.
17. There are no cash alternatives. Prizes are not transferable.
18. The winners' Twitter names will be available after 18th December 2014 by sending a stamped addressed envelope to Secret Scanta Prize draw, Mezz Floor, New Tesco House, Delamare Road, Cheshunt EN8 9SL.
19. Winners' names and counties will also be available on the Clubcard winners page at http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/competition-winners/. Winners agree to their details being made available in this way.
20. The entry instructions form part of the rules. By entering, you agree to accept and be bound by the rules.
21. The Promoter reserves the right to terminate, amend or extend this prize draw in wholly exceptional circumstances outside its control.
22. The Promoter reserves the right to offer alternative prizes, of equal or greater value, in the event that the advertised prizes become unavailable for reasons beyond its control.
23. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, or in the spirit of this prize draw, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion refuse to accept an entry. The Promoter will be the final arbiter in any decisions pertaining to this prize draw and these will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
24. Any entrant posting or seen to be posting comments via Twitter or elsewhere during the promotion that are considered bullying, spiteful or upsetting to other entrants and followers of Tesco or directly aimed at the promoter will be disqualified from the promotion. The promoter reserves the right to alert Twitter to any such behaviour and the participant may have his/her Twitter account frozen pending investigation.
25. These terms and conditions are governed by English law.

its only on for 3 weeks, finishes well before xmas and doesnt mention 'advent' particularly so

I haven't done it yet, but you enter a friend's twitter name (below text 'Who will you be treating this year?') click search and then you have to allow the app to link to your twitter account.

Not sure at this stage if it's enter once and early or weekly? I think it's just an enter once.

Just says in box below entry mechanism:
Take part and you'll be entered into a weekly prize draw to win 5000 clucbcard points or one grand prize!

ETA - yes, I believe you only have to do this the once.

So, I entered my OH's twitter name (and it suggested this as his ideal present - Paco Rabanne Lady Million :eek::eek: Does it know something I don't?!! :eek: :rotfl::rotfl:

I presumed the 'entry' was for linking the app to your Twitter account, and yes you can search for multiple items but maybe only the first entry counts.

It will be interesting to know the response you get - I haven't tried it with another friend's twitter handle either so don't know if that is allowed either :huh:
