Proving you lived somewhere in the 1970's

    dentist,doctors,employers, memberships,credit agencies?
  • I've not found anything yet. The only thing I could do is get people to sign a letter saying that they have personal knowledge I've lived at my place in 1974 and they would be prepared to swear on oath. Do people ever do that to prove something?

    And no clue if people swear oaths to prove that a person lived in a house at a set time.

    Even if you can proved you lived there during those years I doubt it would help you get the discount as you were not a named tenant at the time. Have you actually checked with the council that it would make a difference to your application?

    Yes, that could be one option. But it really depends what the council will accept. Have you asked them?
