Can you get these energy monitors that you clamp round your main cable for free ?

I'm with Npower.

Thanks

Nothings free. some suppliers have tariffs that will include a monitor but it's not going to be their cheapest. It would be cheaper to buy your own and have a lower tariff rather than have an expensive tariff with a "free" energy monitor.

Have you tried your local library - ours will loan you one for 14 days for free.

Could switch to that tariff and switch back when you have the meter.

The meters are about £25 so work out if the tariff would cost you less for the time you would be on it. Check for exit fee too.

NPower were giving them away for free a couple of years ago. You just had to sign up on their website (I guess the offer has gone from what the OP is saying). I was on their cheapest tariff at the time.

I find the meter incredibly useful btw so worth picking one up, even if you have to pay.
