Have a look at what real 1980's and 90's clothes are fetching on Ebay!
Ooooh, I've got some fab 90's clothes which I've been meaning to put on ebay for ages. Although I do have a sort out every time I swap winter and summer clothes, my weight used to fluctuate quite a lot (generally upwards) so I would stash too-small clothes in vacuum bags under my bed. It took so long to finally get my weight under control that once I could get back into them they weren't exactly flattering - what looked good when I was early 20s isn't really suitable now I'm mid 30s...0 -
I really miss high waisted jeans straight not skinny.. double buttons and tucked into the waist .. although I was about 2 sizes smaller when I first wore them in the early 90s.. .. they looked fantastic and feminineOoooh, I've got some fab 90's clothes which I've been meaning to put on ebay for ages. those hipsters where the flab just hangs over the top and you are constantly hoisting them up doesn't work for me..

I think those "experts" that go on about how you should chuck stuff out if you haven't worn it in such and such a length of time are in the pay of retailers - the more we throw out, the more we're likely to buy replacements, sooner or later. Just because you haven't worn some thing in years, doesn't mean you don't need it - you might only want to wear something on certain occasions or when you feel like it, even if it is five years after you last wore it - if you ever feel like wearing it, regardless of how infrequently, you still need it, so keep hold of it!0

I have to agree. I just don't get this idea that you get rid of clothes just because you've not worn them recently. Mind you I hate clothes shopping.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

I don't cull my wardrobe because I don't buy clothes that I don't need.
Stuff goes from presentable, to only at home , then might go to charity bag - then get brought out again !
And before you think I only hang about in old fleeces I do go to have some nice things not just old sacks !0 -
daughter was going away this year, and I said I've loads of summer clothes borrow mine.
so she sat on the bed and I got the spare suitcase out, and felt proud showing all of my summer clothes
till
she said mum I'm 31 now and those clothes were what I got when I went away for the 1st time to malia, when I was 18.
so clearly I do not clear out enough.
although daughter is moving back in with hubby and kids, and I've blitzed this house from top to bottom, I can't believe the amount of poo I have, loads has gone the tip and charity shop, I've stuck loads on selling sites, if they don't go there going back the charity shop.
I should have done it years ago.0 -
Maybe once every five years at the most. Some of my T-shirts have started their third decade of use.0
