Red light camera 2 wheels over the stop line

Hi everyone I wonder if someone can help me understand something
I was driving a few days ago and approached a junction with cameras
I saw the light was Amber so I stopped as fast as I could I did come to a full stop before the light went red I'm 99 percent they were Amber when I stopped but I noticed that my 2 front wheels were over the solid white stop line and my 2 rear wheels were behind the White solid stop line my handbrake was firmly on so I no I didn't move
Does anyone know how these cameras work?

I do not believe I did anything wrong but not 2 sure as I had 2 wheels over the stop line I hate these lights they just make everyone edgy I just believe when Amber to stop in hindsight I may have made it through so hard to judge at times

Any thoughts would be much appreciated please

Yes you did something wrong. It is an offence if any part of your vehicle crosses the line when the light is red (also amber, bit with a statutory defence). Anyway, unless you saw a flash of the camera, you are fretting over nothing. The cameras normally don't trigger until 1-2 seconds after the red.

At the end of the day, waiting for 14 days to see if an NIP shows up is all you can do.
