credit card charges on defaulted account

hi I had a credit card years ago with Lloyds tsb and defaulted on the payments, I got a CCJ for this and it was paid off in July this year, after looking on my credit file its still there and it states opening balance was just over £850 and they then added interest and I ended up paying over £4000 back, can this be right? Is it possible that I have paid way over the odds and I could try to reclaim some of this back?

Surely you know how much the CCJ was for?

Whilst I admire that you have eventually paid off the CCJ awarded against you, surely you ensured that was all you paid, didn't you?

Did you respond to the court summons all those years ago? e.g. offer a defence?
Did you go to the court hearing? That would usually be the last time to put your arguements against the claim.
(There are other possibilities, but surely you would have looked into these before you paid off a court judgement you now suggest you feel was wrong)

I think a lot more explanation is needed here ...
