eBay credit file??

Hey guys

I've got a little dispute with eBay which I want resolving first.

However I owe them some fees for listing. Very small amount.

I've said to them resolve my problem first then ill make a payment. Howwver they've passed it on to debt collectors.

I'm afraid I may get a bad credit file because of it. Could they mark my file? Even though it isn't a credit agreement?

  • If they get a CCJ it could go on your credit file.

Just pay them the fees to shut them up, if it's for a small amount, what's it worth getting banned from eBay for?
Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.

    thanks mate. Good point.

So is a CCJ their only route to my credit file? obviosily a letter will have to come from court and Ill have a chance to contest or repay it. can they not automatically just put a default on my account? ( i only want to know this for information puroses)

Also can Energy companies like EON put a default on an account?

How much are we talking? I'd pay it and dispute it later. FAR likelier to have less problems that way.

ebay cant unless it goes to court, eon can as theirs is a service agreement
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
