Barbican £10 on the day

Options
Has anyone any experience of queuing on the day to buy limited £10 tickets at the Barbican? My son and I have just seen Henry IV part I at the Marlowe, Canterbury and would love to see Part II which is running at the Barbican December and January.

Their website states they offer a limited amount of tickets from 10:30am every day for that evening's showing and was just wondering what the chances are that we could nab some cheap tickets as it'll already cost getting to London (we're in Kent) plus spending a whole day there as the show isn't until the evening. I've hunted around the web but only found reports about shows with big stars like David Tennant (which sounded like a nightmare to get tickets for) so thought I'd ask on here to see if anyone has any personal experience trying for these tickets for less famous shows.

My son is under 25 so we could possibly get him a cheap ticket through FreeB but £55 for me is a lot.

Thanks in advance :)
