Struggling to obtain a credit report. Difficult situation

Hi All
I am currently trying to obtain a credit report for an appointment with STEPCHANGE DEBT CHARITY.
However I am finding this seemingly impossible for the following reasons:
A) I do not have a bank account and therefore must request a postal order
My mom has recently moved house. At her old address I used to get 100 threatening debt letters every day. So I have not updated any of my documents to her new address until this is sorted out.
When I submitted my postal credit report request I put my "current" address as my work office and said I have been here for one month. As I am not currently registered at any address. I put my moms previous address on their and said I had lived their for the past 10 years which is correct.
They have responded to me via letter asking for
1) Proof of my CURRENT address ( even though I said I only lived here for a month ) i.e mortgage statement bank statement, ofcourse I have nothing like this in my name
Copy of my passport. I can provide this with no problem.
I am close to giving up. I cant see a way to win.
The only way I can get my credit report is to udpate everything to say I am at my moms address now which is correct but then she would have 100 balliff's on her door next week
Losing all hope, impossinble

You only need one thing to prove your current address. Don't you have a driving licence or something you can update?Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0

they will likely also know its a business addressDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Hi All

Hi gforgosu
Sorry to hear you have found it difficult to obtain a copy of your credit report.
To ensure your information remains secure we may ask for proof of address if we are unable to authenticate the address you have provided on your application for a credit report.
If we are unable to connect you to the address you have applied from we will ask for documentation to validate that this is a secure address to send your information to. (ie a copy of bills in your name)
If you have any credit history at your mom's address or you are registered on the voters roll at this address this would help us to authenticate your credit report request.
Security of your information is priority for Experian so if we are unable to validate your address with the documentation requested we will be unable to send your credit report.
I hope this helps.
Kind Regards
