Parking Eye - Their Version Of The Truth

As we all know, the PE v Beavis case is going to appeal . For some strange reason PE's website page which gloats about them "winning" the case fails to mention this important fact:-
https://www.parkingeye.co.uk/motorist-information/parkingeye-win-cambridge-test-case/

"The result was a resounding success for ParkingEye, with Judgment being given for ParkingEye on every point of defence pleaded. This included ParkingEye’s ability to bring the claim, the legally enforceable nature of the contract created between ParkingEye and the motorist and that the Parking Charge amount was fair and reasonable. This Judgment has been circulated to a number of County Courts, and provides District Judges with the most persuasive Judgement on claims of this nature currently available. However it should be noted that HHJ Moloney QC was influenced in his Judgment by the case of ParkingEye Ltd v Somerfield Stores and a number of other High Court and Court of Appeal cases."

Parking Prankster has blogged about this and the fact that Parking Eye are not passing on this information to their legal reps or to the courts

What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

  • Is the Fax Farie still at work sending pertinent information daily to the courts where PE cases are being heard? Maybe the Farie could include a reference to the Beavis appeal.

I think that has stopped because the courts complained about receiving too much bumf. Anyway, it's Ms. Ledson's duty, as a solicitor to tell the courts.

The Fax Elf stopped doing his job for two reasons - one, the fact that so many courts weren't accepting the information by fax, or processing it in time, and two - the fax elf received several letters from court stating that if he continued, he could be held in contempt.

While the Fax Elf fears no man, or parking company, he doesn't fancy a spell in pokey for the sake of a £100 parking charge notice.
  • I have close to zero understanding of law, as I'm about to demonstrate:

I've noticed the number of times this Ledson woman's name crops up, nearly always with some suggestion of misconduct attached to it. If there's clear evidence of malpractice ( or worse ) on her part, has this ever been presented to the profession's overview body? If so, has any disciplinary action been taken?

I only ask because it strikes me as odd that this individual - with all the allegations made against her on here and other sites - continues with what seems like a close-to-the-wind MO.

I believe she has been reported to the Solicitors' Regulation Authority a number of times which, as watchdogs go, is about as useful as Scooby-doo.

We know that Parking Eye actually employ somebody to monitor these forums. So if you are reading this PE spy, could you pass on the fact that this case has gone to appeal, in case it's not been noticed in your office.
