New Nationwide ACC. Debit card, pin etc sent to completely the wrong address

Hi There.
Just looking for advice on this really...
I recently signed up online for the Nationwide Flex Plus account due to wanting to change banks as the products by Nationwide seemed to be better and more better suited for my needs (essentially a bank account with mobile insurance and worldwide travel insurance)
I received a welcome pack and a confirmation letter (with the acc number and sort code) and thought that with this and the multitude of texts i have received my Debit card would be sent promptly and I can still continue banking normally.
However it got to today (the account switch date) and I thought it was bizzare that I never received a debit card so called up. Turns out that my debit card, pin (and from my own assumptions cheque book and/or other letters) have been sent to the completely wrong address (whomever changed the address had added a name of a development further down the same road, the wrong post code but the correct flat/building number)
There didn't seem to be a logical explanation as to why the address was wrong but when he tried to do an address search for my flat he couldn't find it and he had to manually key it in (even though their online system found my address OK) and he put it down to a new build even though this address has been around for 4 years..
So i have a genuine grave concern that I have potentially been put at risk for at least 5 days for someone to open credit accounts in my name. Thankfully they haven't done anything with the overdraft facility apparently... but i guess I will have to see if anything is flagged up on the credit reference agencies in a month or so...
Complaint was logged with the Customer Service Assistant and he seemed to imply he understood my grievance..
Maybe I'm being oversensitive as I do work with sensitive data at work myself?
Not much of a welcome for a new customer though!

NW sent two savings books to a previous address, as they'd ordered the missing books then changed the address on file.
I think I got £100 (without pushing, so you may be able to get more if it's particularly sensitive), and the books re-issued.
A lot of my post ends up on another street (correct house number, different postcode), and a lot of the occupant on the other streets post ends up with me, so for me (although I've got to know the other people), it doesn't make much difference anyway.💙💛 💔0 -

Cheers. I wish I knew these guys and it would put me at ease! Sadly i don't.
I find it extremely concerning as that when you open a bank account you have a ridiculous amount of letters asking you to go into branch to sign a piece of paper, information about how to setup online banking etc etc etc (not to mention my debit card). Someone could use that information to open anything
Guess I'll need to wait and see what they come back with - does seem a bit daft having two separate address systems though!0
