Humixhd recoder faulty from Currys. My rights.

I purchased a Humix 2000T hd recorder from Currys yesterday and in just one day I have found that the buttons are not always responsive as well as the machine completley freezing when in bbci player. I tried the remote and the front panel all to no avail

I am not happy with this machine and am wondering if I have the right to take it back and get a full refund ?

Did you buy in store or online?

Is the thing faulty, or is it that you are just disappointed with your purchase?

Is there anything on your receipt about returns?

Have you looked at their website to try and discover their returns policy?

Put quite simply, unless the goods are faulty, you have no statutory right to a refund on a purchase made in a store, but maybe their returns policy allows you to do so.

Well as I described above clearly it has a fault. It was reserved online and picked up at my local store. If it freezes ( reading forums it's a fault on some machines) it is obviously not fit for purpose. I don't understand why you think I could be just dissapointed. Well I am yes, but that is because it is faulty.

Ok, I asked four questions, you've addressed two of them.

Good luck with whatever you choose to do.

Just take it back and ask for a refund, it's obviously faulty.

If its faulty then you are entitled to a full refund.

If you purchased it online then you are entitled to cancel the contract within 14 days of receiving it whether its faulty or not. This only applies if the contract formed at a distance though. If you reserved it online but paid in store when you collected it then this does not apply.

Avoid these cheap knock-off Humix machines. Go for a proper Humax instead. :D
