I have a Philips External Hard Disk SPE3030CC 320GB external hard drive like this.
http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/cpindex.pl?ctn=SPE3030CC/05&hlt=Link_UserManuals&mid=Link_UserManuals&scy=NL&slg=AEN
It is now almost full so I thought I would replace the hard disk inside with a larger one.
However I can't get the disk out.
I have taken the 2 screws out at the switch and socket end but the disk does not come out and I can't see any other screws.
Unless there are only these 2 screws and I need to try harder.

Why ?? If that one is almost full, where's your backup of it? Far better to just get another bigger drive as well as this one......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
Storage is becoming very cheap now. £30 for 1TB on an internal SATA. I was checking out 3TB drives the other day and I believe they are down to 70-80.
If you need a lot of storage cap and you haven't the space in your tower maybe a NAS box would be best? with a few of the above stashed in there.0 -
I happen to have a spare 2TB hard disk that I want to use.
Also I can transfer what is on the old disk to the new disk.0 -

The disk may come out the front end, prise off the front plastic cover, the disk may come with it.0

Disappointing, the hard disk is an IDE one, and I still couldn't remove it.
New drive it is then.0
