Domestic & General (D&C) harassment/nuisance calls

Options
Hi all,

I just wanted to get a feel for the volume of people that are subjected to daily harassment by Domestic & General?

They provide insurance plans for kitchen appliances amongst other things.

Despite me never having a plan with them, they call me no fewer than three times a day.

Despite me telling them over and over to remove my contact details from their system, they continue to make contact repeatedly. An advisor will call, I will say "why are you still contacting me?" They will (braindead) say "oh, sorry, I will remove your details." Hours later, they call again. Sometimes I'm lucky and it's the next day.

Despite this going on for weeks and then me lodging a formal, written complaint, they still do it. Even though I have a formal complaint number and they say it may take up to 3 days to be completed, they are still calling.

The definition of harassment is when the caller (in this case the company) is aware that their actions or contact is unwanted. I have made this explicitly clear over the phone multiple times and repeatedly in writing.

What must I do? How many other people out there put up with it? How many people out there are elderly or vulnerable in some way and so do not have the ability to stand up to this vile company like I do every time they invite themselves - unwanted - into my day? I can't even block them via my phone provider as they call from withheld numbers or a different 0844 number every time?!

And how many times will their customer services (hahahahhahahaha) department email me to tell me that they have escalated my complaint, that my details are not on their file, that they will not contact me again..... only for another call to come in hours later?

I've informed them that from now on, I will be logging - and recording - all of their calls.

Anybody have any other ideas what I can do?
