What happens to Defaults that go to CCJ?

Just a general question. If I have a default and the provider then gets a CCJ does the default stay on the file, or get replaced by the CCJ?

The default will stay on file as that represents a true status of your administration of the account.
If you settle the CCJ within 28 days, then that will not go on file.0 -
No. A CCJ is a completely separate entry in the public record section of your report. It does not change or replace the default in the credit account section at all.
The default and account are still removed 6 years from the default date.
As a separate thing the CCJ remains 6 years from the CCJ date, unless as stated paid within one calendar month.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
