Thats what they wanted you to believe yes, but boomers are past masters at deception.
For decades a progressive generational sleight of hand has seen the lions's share of assets transferred to boomers, and a mountain of debt passed to Gen X and Y.
That university degree better be literally worth its weight in gold0 -

Obviously the reason for the apparent fall in the percentage of X,Y generation being owner occupiers is the influx of young overseas migrants.
The parents of these migrant don't support them in the same way the UK parents support their own.
So it would be better for you to post on overseas forums to encourage these foreigner to help their own youth.
and of course, my best wishes for you to reconcile your situation with your parents : I've sure if you offered to take the bins out occasionally and be helpful round the house, then they would re-instate your pocket money.0 -

do you deny there are immigrants in the age range of X, Y generation?
do you think the UK boomers should buy them houses?
do you think the increased demand from this increase in population causes increased demand which results in increased house prices?0 -

obviously in keeping with your youthful views.
so repeatedly insulting a whole age group is acceptable to you but pointing out how childish that is you find 'rude' : well of course you do.
denying simple economic truths about supply and demand and their effect of price is, I guess ignorant, rather than childish
however denying that most immigrants have foreign parents is truly infantile.
anyway make it up with the parents0
