New Beko fridge noisy

Hi all.
I recently took out my perfectly working f/freezer (integrated), removed the existing cabinet & altered the space etc to allow fitting of my new Beko free standing frost free fridge freezer, i did this so that i can hand the old one down to my son for his new house & also to improve my kitchen cosmetically.
I researched the colour & most importantly the noise level of the appliance, i settled on a black one ,with a noise level of 41 decibels , it was the lowest i could find.
When slotted in place & colour , we were well suited with the work gone in & the overall result.
The problem is that the motor when running makes a fairly loud irritating buzzing noise that i had not got with my old freezer ,even though i could hear it , i was gutted , i have insulated it between the side wall & the appliance side , the vent required around the appliance as not been compromised with the operation of the noisy little blighter, & as slightly reduced the noise level on that side.
My question to you all please , is do you think i have a recall or replacement, money back?, i wish i had my own noise meter to test this machine i am positive that the buzzing is louder than the advertised noise level, as i am sat here in the next room i have just heard the fridge start up.
I spent £400 on this purchase & i am very unhappy, especially when i researched the noise level of all the fridges i looked at.
what do you think & advise , other than ear muffs:D

Have you read the manual? I have recently had a new fridge freezer (not Beko) and it does say in the manual that it may be noisier when it 'settles in' but should quieten down after about 5 months!

How recent is recently? Could it be that as your old one was integrated any noise was muffled by being enclosed and now any freestanding appliance is going to sound louder than one shut in a cupboard?
My own FF is kept in what was the old cupboard under the stairs we very rarely hear it but we did try moving the kitchen around last year and put it in a different part of the kitchen and it was very loud, we had to end up moving it back to under the stairs where the noise is muffled.
Also have you checked that it is completely level?0 -
What make was your old one? There's bound to be differences between different makes. Wait till your Beko is a few months old and it starts groaning like a cow in pain! What do user reviews say about the noise levels? I think you have zero change of returning it unless it's excessively loud as all fridge freezers make a noise.0

If it's that bad, you could get your own noise meter and prove that it is out of the range, or alternatively try to find someone (maybe the retailer, maybe an independent engineer) to measure the sound.
The only way you'll get a refund I imagine is if you prove that it does indeed run > 41 decibels.
A quick google tells me that 41 decibels should be about twice as loud as someone whispering, but less than normal conversation. That's a clearly audible sound IMO, does it sound about right?0
