Email not coming through on iPad

Hi can anyone help please? My email as stopped coming through on my ipad. All working ok on the PC, but not on the standard ipad app. Any ideas on how to get it back working please? Thank you.

    deleted account and re added again still not working. Anyone have any other ideas please? Thank you.

    I'm actually getting the same/a similar problem - I can check my email (gmail) via the safari browser, but not via messages - but only on some wifi networks - on others it works fine.


    to be clear checking them one at a time via safari always works, but dragging down messenger just sets a spinning timekeeper that never actually updates.


    it goes away after a while and the only reason I know it doesn't work is that it will say at the bottom - last updated 7.03am all day.
    That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

  • Guys, if you have an email account you should be using the Mail app really, as its built for email accounts. I do know adding accounts for the likes of BT and other accounts sometimes can be difficult. Personally what i would do to fix these issues and know your on the same page as everything.

    On your pc/laptop side log onto to your webmail make sure you can login with your credentials. If your happy and you can and you dont need to reset your password.

    On your ipad remove any account that are affected. To do this goto settings, then mail contacts and calendars then tap on the account then scroll down to delete it and re add it. Using the templates or wizard. Sounds like your outgoing and incoming server need to be set. If you havent setup your gmail account using the logo of google or gmail do it this way. Do not use it using the other settings. As these are normally preset.
