Vinyl Wrap for kitchen cupboards

Just thought I would ask if anyone has experience of this, or had it fitted/installed in their kitchen.

How did you find it, how did it look.

Just wanted to gauge experiences, does it look good or a bit cheap and not as good as in the pictures.

Thanks

  • They are ok until the vinyl starts to delaminate.
  • Thanks, I was a bit worried about that. Was thinking that it may start to peel over time and make it look worse than the cupboard surface it covers.

We did it years ago. The vinyl was free from my work, in advertising. It's a temporary thing, really. Makes something more acceptable while you save for something nicer. I wouldn't spend much on it.

How long did you have it on for?
I am thinking a couple of hundred £, and not having it on much more than a year or so while, like you say, save up for a refit of the kitchen.

It would have been about a year. It's not that easy and I had the benefit of some experience. I can still remember blow drying the stuff on to stretch it. If your doors are slab style, it mightn't be too bad.

I was planning on getting a company to do it as have seen examples of a local company which looks good. I dont think my DIY skills are up to the job, especially as the doors that i currently have on my kitchen are grooved.
