waiting for payment

I have sold my first item on ebay that was on the 14/11/2014 the payment going through pay pal. how long do you have to wait for it. I am sending it free postage with royal mail 2nd class do I have to have a tracking number for it. the item only been sold for a small amount of money

Is the payment showing in your PayPal account? If so you need to ship it in line with the dispatch time you have when you listed, so lets say 2 working days.
If you only quoted for 2nd class then that's how you send it, just pack it and take it to the Post office and get proof of posting.
As a new seller your PayPal funds won't actually be released for 21 days.
