Boosting Credit Rating

This has probably asked numerous times. My credit rating is well basically rubbish, I am trying to get it better but struggling to get credit ANYWHERE! I expect the high APR etc etc.

Any help or ideas would be great. Thank You

By "credit rating" are you referring to one of the numbers that the various agencies sell you?

Your credit rating only really gets better when you pay your debts on time.

OK. Experian, etc. base their number on incomplete information. They don't know your salary, for instance. They provide potential lenders with a report, not a number. The lenders then use this information to come to their own decision.

Try using one of the soft search facilities. They're not guaranteed to be accurate but may give you a feel for your situation.
