Quote for new windscreen on a 2003 Corsa

I've a massive crack on my corsa windscreen so I need to replace it. Autoglass offered me a price of £218 which was expensive. AA have offered £140 and this is them coming to my house. Is that a decent price or should I shop around closer to home to try and get it cheaper?

  • Not got fully comp insurance?

If not £140 sounds great for low hassle fitting. My screen is close to £1000.

Sadly I have very cheap insurance which doesn't include windscreen damage.

Cheers for the advice, I will accept the £140 quote!
  • Before you go with the AA, get on Google and try and find a local fitter. I did that when I had to replace my screen and the local guy worked out cheaper.

Yes I wos toying with this but its a Sunday so everywhere local is shut and I need it sorted asap (AA are doing it tomorrow afternoon). £140 seems a reasonable price (confirmed by OddballJamie) so I think I will just stick with the AA.
