The great Tesco / Pringles pricing saga

Options
Saw Pringles at £1.24 - 'half price' in local Tesco this week..

I seem to recall them doing a 2for1 offer not so long ago, when they were £2.60 a tube.. hmmm

Go along to mySupemarket.com. Pick any flavour of Pringles for any major supermarket, have a look at their graph for the 'Average price in UK over the last 12 months' and you will see the price going up and down like a yo-yo.

Or you could just go to Aldi, and buy their version, which is 89p come rain or shine. (Although it is a smaller pack size.)

Pringles are always on offer somewhere, if not Tesco Sainsbury's, if not Sainsbury's Lidl, if not Lidl Iceland. There's never any need to pay full price.

they are all as bad as one another ASDA will have a deal before xmas like 2 for £2 or 3 for £3 to make you spend more which is always annoying and morrisons usually do a buy 1 get 2 free but charge full price

Lidl own-brand "Pringles" are lovely and only 89p. ;)

I like the Aldi ones, the daughter doesn't because she thinks they taste too strong.

Lidl version have been pronounced as better than pringles by even the pickiest members of our household.

Unilever Pringles are a prime example of a premium price product. I have blind tested the Aldi version against Unilever Pringles and it was surprising how in half the cases people took the one for the other (thinking the Unilever one was Aldi or viceverse).

The taste is similar but not the same. I think it is mainly a question of which flavour you are used to.
